Final Report
The final report of the Inquiry into the Management of Offenders in Custody and the Community was tabled in Parliament on 23 November 2005, by the Hon Dr Geoff Gallop MLA, Premier, Minister for Public Sector Management.

Establishment of Inquiry
On 5 April 2005, pursuant to section 11 of the Public Sector Management Act 1994, the Honourable Dr Geoff Gallop MLA, Premier; Minister for Public Sector Management set up the Inquiry into the Performance of the Department of Justice with regard to the Management of Offenders in Custody and in the Community, in collaboration with the Honourable Mr John D'Orazio, MLA the Minister for Justice.
The Honourable Dennis Mahoney AO QC was appointed to carry out the Inquiry.
